The purpose this work is to enquire about teaching of noun formation via verbal suffixes. A.A. Neto secondary school has constituted the spot place wherein data have been collected. After data analysis and interpretation, it comes that the problems hampering the teaching of noun formation through verbal suffixes are mostly due to the fact teachers teach word formation generally and not selectively. In addition, this lesson is taught as a mere class of vocabulary rather than as the one aiming at helping lean ers know about the mechanisms of forming words by themselves thanks affixes attachment to roots. As result, learners are still incapable of forming complex nouns through affixes by their own. In this respect, this research work attempts to provide a teachi ng procedure that should help teachers implement the teaching of noun formation through verbal suffixes.
