The present reflection examines the metaphor and the semanticization shown under the stylistic additions of interdependence and intermingling between the different metaphors and the facts rendered. These connectional relationships are evident in the poetic discourse of the well-known Congolese writer: Alain Mabanckou. Our objective is to demonstrate that his poetry is a source of significance and semantic generation, of escape and contemplation for the speaker. Two methodological approaches situate and govern our analysis: semiotics and pragmatics. The first allows us to un derstand the metaphor as a sign (Eco, 1988, p.28) endowed and armed with significance; and the second allows us to understand it as a primordial theme tainted by implicits (D. Maingeneau, 2001, p.132), by innuendoes and unsaid. We confirm that Alain Mabanc kou's writing of metaphor appears as a stylistic singularization which brings together and combines several metaphorical typifications: paratextual, epigraphic, prefacial, nominal, verbal, determinative, adjectival and attributive metaphors. They are the e xaltation and celebration of pain, the completion of which is the production of aesthetic effects.
