This article, which aims to analyze the bilinearity of Mbosi Mbosi filiation, emphasizes the rights and duties of a child within the Mbosi family. These depend on the filiation to which he is attached for a given circumstance. He is, thus, Okola or Pande depending on whether he is in the patriclan or in the matriclan. In the paternal branch, the child has a status of dependency vis-à-vis the father and the father's uterine nephew. In the maternal branch, the child Mbosi worships his maternal uncle, from whom he inherits all powers and attributes. He enjoys the protection of both clans. This implies that the Mbosi child is educated in such a way as to submit to the values of family solidarity and that he must practice the balance between the patriclan, and matriclan.
