The stronghold of inclusive schools is human rights which stipulate that all children have the right to an education that does not subject them to any form of discrimination. On this basis, there can be no question of excluding children in difficulty or with disabilities from mainstream schools. In Burkina Faso, inclusive education is faced not only with the difficulties of success and access for students with disabilities but also with the very high drop-out and repetition rate of this category of learner in ordinary schools. This reality calls for the establishment of effective mechanisms to meet the needs of these students in difficulty. It is above all a matter of setting up a training system based on a fundamental questioning of the school organization of traditional schools and its teaching practices. But in order to do this, it will take deep transformations upstream in the training of teachers and the entire educational community, starting with the parents of students.
