This study deals with the lexicalization of Kongo theomorphic names. This lexicalization concerns both morphology and semantics. Morphologically, it is achieved by reduplication, composition and derivation processes. At the semantic level, the lexicalization of theomorphic names takes place through the lexical semantic process marked by a semantic shift from abstract elements to concrete elements Keyboards : semantic shift, theomorphic names, lexicalization, composition.
