The recent perfective refers to the expression of an action that has just taken place. This research analyzes the forms that the markers of the perfective aspect can take in the fifteen languages selected. All are Bantu with the exception of kituba, considered as a koongo Creole language. The Bantu languages of the Northwest are considered by Bastin as an exception, as they would be unable to construct the perfective aspect by adding the suffix * -įde. The analyzes carried out aim to test this hypothesis and place particular emphasis on both diatopic and diachronic variations of the markers * -įde and mé-.
