Abstract

The main target of this paper is to make Sängöphone speakers know the functioning of nominal markers of gender and number in sängö. Nominal markers of gender are mainly lexical, because the masculine is expressed through such item as kôlï (man) and feminine by wâlï (women) for human beings. For animals and some vegetables, the sängö language uses babâ (male) and mamâ (mother). The plural is expressed in sängö in two ways: on the hand, by the morphems zero (ø) and â-(mark of plural) to express determined units either as generics and /or the other hand for finite plural. Non finite singular and plural in sängö are expressed by mbênî (a) or âmbênî (some). It is important to notice that for nominals, the correspond to many, some, many a/ many of, a quantity of…, a number of…, and several. It would be better to know that this morphosyntactic study of nominal markers of gender et number in sängö has the advantage not only to able a good mastering of these nominal markers in this language, but also to create a pédagogico-didactic way that will able a good knowledge and use of nominal plates of gender and number in French which is the language of teaching-learning in the scholar milieu in the Central African Republic.
